-azo, suffix
huge; great

You can add the suffix -azo to some words to suggest that they are larger than normal. You remove the final vowel, e.g. coche ? cochazo.

un cochazo que parecía de Hollywood
a huge car which seemed like something out of Hollywood

Golpeó con la manaza abierta la silla.
He hit the chair with his huge hand.

You also add the suffix -azo to some nouns to describe using the object concerned to hit someone or something. So, un ladrillo is a brick, and un ladrillazo is a blow delivered with a brick:

Le acertaron con un ladrillazo lanzado desde un edificio cercano.
She was hit by a brick thrown from a nearby building.
