precioso, adjective
beautiful, lovely, gorgeous; precious

Precioso is a word you will probably hear quite often. It’s a way of praising how things look:

un vestido precioso
a beautiful dress
Hace una mañana tan preciosa.
It’s such a lovely morning.

You also use it to describe babies, and small children.

¿Qué edad tiene esta niña tan preciosa?
How old is this gorgeous little girl?

It is used in the literal sense ‘of great value’ in the phrase piedras preciosas, precious stones.
