Nervioso is another adjective, like inquieto, whose meaning is different when you use it with estar or ser. You use it more often with estar, in which case you translate it as nervous.

Está nerviosa porque tiene un examen.
She’s nervous because she’s got an exam.

People and things can get on your nerves, and the phrase in Spanish is poner nervioso:

Ese ruido me pone nervioso.
That noise is getting on my nerves.

If you get nervous, the verb you use is ponerse:

Me pongo muy nervioso en las entrevistas.
I get very nervous in interviews.
