Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

lana, noun
wool

Where would we be without la lana, wool, from which so many nice things are made!

trajes de pura lana
suits of pure wool

If something is woolen, you use the phrase de lana:

Me voy a poner los calcetines de lana.
I’m going to put on my woolen socks.

There’s an old proverb used when somebody takes all the credit for something, even if they haven’t done the work.

Unos cardan la lana y otros cobran la fama.
Some people do all the work, and others take all the credit
