calentar, verb
to heat up, to warm up

Calentar is the verb derived from caliente (hot, warm). When followed by an object, calentar often refers to heating up or warming up something such as a liquid. Notice how the -en- becomes -ien- in the present.

¿Quieres que te caliente* la leche?
Would you like me to heat up the milk for you?

You use the reflexive form calentarse to talk about warming yourself up:

Cargaron unas botellas de whiski para calentarse durante la caminata.
They loaded some bottles of whisky to warm themselves up during the walk.
