huésped, noun
guest

If you stay in a hotel, pensión and so forth in the Spanish-speaking world, you may well come across requests and instructions to the guests, such as:

Se ruega a los huéspedes dejar la llave de su habitación en recepción.
You are kindly requested to leave your room key at reception.

Huésped is also the word for guest that you'll find in advertising materials:

El hotel ofrece a sus huéspedes habitaciones con todas las comodidades.
The hotel offers its guests fully-equipped rooms.

Of course, it's not just hotel guests that you refer to with this word. It can be any kind of guest, for instance:

Estuvo como huésped de honor del gobierno.
He was the government's guest of honor.
Se hallaba como huésped en casa del actor.
He was staying as a guest at the actor's house.
