El cepillo refers to any kind of brush, but you’re most likely to come across it in the phrase:

cepillo de dientes
toothbrush

If someone has a crewcut, you use the image of a brush ? and a crewcut can look like a well-worn brush!

Lleva el pelo cortado al cepillo.
He has a crewcut.

The verb from cepillo is cepillar, to brush. Notice that when you brush your teeth, you use cepillarse in the reflexive form.

Recomendaron lavarse la boca y cepillarse los dientes después de comer.
They recommended washing out your mouth and brushing your teeth after eating.
