Fact of the Day: Ma Yu Chin's Bucket Chicken House Ma Yu Ching's Bucket Chicken House in Kaifeng, China, is considered the world's longest-running restaurant; it is believed to have opened for business in 1153 AD during the Sung Dynasty. Restaurants of all kinds were popular at that time, but only Ma Yu Ching's has survived several dynasties and a couple of revolutions to go on serving inexpensive and nourishing food today.
