Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

adiós, exclamation
goodbye; hi, hello

You'll already know that adiós means goodbye.

Vengo a decirte adiós.
I've come to say goodbye to you.

If you pass a friend in the street in Spain and they say adiós, don't think they're acting strange. In this context it simply means hi. Remember that in Latin America the usual word for goodbye is hasta luego.
