apuntar, verb
to enrol

We’ve already come across apuntar meaning to write down or make a note of something:

Apúntalo o te vas a olvidar.
Write it down, or you’ll forget.

The reflexive apuntarse means to put your name down for something:

Nos hemos apuntado para el viaje a Costa Rica.
We’ve put our names down for the trip to Costa Rica.

Still with the same idea, but more specifically, apuntarse a means to enrol on a course:

Me he apuntado a un curso de español.
I’ve enrolled on a Spanish course.

In a more general sense, apuntarse means to be interested in something:

¿Te apuntas a un café?
Do you fancy a coffee?
