pico, noun
beak; spout; peak

El pico is one of those Spanish words with several different meanings. The core meaning is a bird’s beak:

extraños animales, cuadrúpedos alados con cabezas y picos de aves
strange animals, winged quadrupeds with the heads and beaks of birds

By extension, it refers to the spout of something, such as a jug.
A third, very common meaning, is the peak or summit of a mountain:

Estaba en el pico de una alta montaña.
He was at the summit of a high mountain.
