inquietar, verb
to worry

The adjective inquieto means worried. The verb derived from it is inquietar, to worry.

Vi algo que me inquietó bastante.
I saw something which rather worried me.

You probably use inquietar more often in the reflexive form inquietarse, to be worried. To reassure someone and tell them not to worry, you might say:

¡No te inquietes!
Don’t worry.

If you are worried about somebody or something, the preposition you use is por:

Se inquietaba por mis ausencias y tardanzas.
She worried about my being absent or late.
