cansar, verb
to tire

Cansar to tire, is related to the adjective cansado tired, tiring, which we came across in an earlier Word of the Day. You can use cansar to refer to something which tires you or somebody else:

Me cansa mucho trabajar en el jardín.
Working in the garden really tires me out.

More often you use it in the reflexive form cansarse, to talk about tiring yourself out:

Enseguida se cansa.
He gets tired very quickly.

Notice how you use the prepositon de with cansarse:

No me canso nunca de mirar el mar.
I never tire of looking at the sea.
