Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

pisar, verb
to walk on; to tread on

The core idea behind pisar is setting foot on a surface:

¿Se puede pisar el suelo de la cocina?
Can I walk on the kitchen floor.

If you tread on someone’s foot by mistake, pisar is the word you use:

Perdona, te he pisado.
Sorry, I trod on your foot.

When you’re driving you may want to put your foot down:

Pisé el acelerador a fondo.
I put my foot down.
