saltar, verb
to jump; to leap

Saltar is the basic word for to jump or to leap:

Bond saltó del coche.
Bond leaped from the car.
saltar de alegría
to jump for joy

In the reflexive form it means to skip or miss out something:

Creo que te has saltado una página.
I think you’ve skipped a page.
Ya que desperté tarde tuve que saltarme el desayuno.
As I woke up late I had to skip breakfast.
