The largest publication is "Yongle Dadian", a thesaurus and encyclopedia of the Yongle reign, with 22,937 chapters in 11,095 volumes. It was written by 2000 Chinese scholars between 1403-1408. The 20-volume "Oxford English Dictionary" has 21,543 pages. The largest dictionary was "Deutsches Worterbuch" with 34,510 pages in 33 volumes.
