Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

final, noun
end

El final means the end, like fin, but you use it in different contexts. First, to describe where something is:

al final del pasillo
at the end of the corridor
al final de esta calle
at the end of this street

You also use it with the seasons:

Era un día frió y soleado hacia el final del invierno de 1974.
It was a cold, sunny day towards the end of the winter of 1974.

Final is the word you must use to talk about the end of a movie, play, and so on:

No vi el final de la película.
I didn’t see the end of the movie.
