Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

entregar, verb
to deliver; to hand in; to present

Snailmail is less common these days, but if it’s delivered the Spanish verb to use is entregar:

El paquete fue entregado ayer.
The parcel was delivered yesterday.
Entregué la carta personalmente.
I delivered the letter by hand.

You use it in another meaning to refer to handing work in:

Tengo que entregar la tesina mañana.
I’ve got to hand in my dissertation tomorrow.

You also use it to talk about presenting prizes:

El rey mismo le entregó el premio.
The King himself presented him with the prize.
