On This Day:
Monday November 24, 2014

This is the 328th day of the year, with 37 days remaining in 2014.

Fact of the Day: colorful skies

Sunsets appear red because red is the only color in the sunlight to reach our eyes at that time. None of the other colors travel as far as red. All the other colors are scattered before they reach us. At dawn, sunlight has to travel as far as it does at sunset, this time through the eastern sky.
