head; top

La cabeza is the word for head in its bodily meaning.

Se rascaba la cabeza.
He was scratching his head.
Se me fue de la cabeza.
It went right out of my head.

The phrase a la cabeza de means at the front of a procession or march:

a la cabeza de la manifestación
at the head or front of the demonstration

In a less physical sense it means at the top of a list or classification:

Están situadas a la cabeza de la lista de presidenciables.
They’re at the top of the list of presidential candidates.
