Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

flojo, adjective
weak; lazy

Flojo is often used to describe things which are weak, from people:

Todavía tiene las piernas muy flojas.
His legs are still very weak.

...to tea:

Este té está muy flojo.
This tea is very weak.

If you’re weak in a subject at college flojo is also the word you use, followed by en:

Está muy flojo en matemáticas.
He’s very weak at math.

And from this idea of not being very strong in general comes the slang meaning of lazy:

Hazlo, y no seas tan flojo.
Do it, and don’t be so lazy.
