clear, obvious; light

Claro has two basic meanings. In the sense of obvious, it often goes with referencia and ejemplo:

Había una clara referencia al famoso cómico.
There was an obvious reference to the famous comedian.
Es un claro ejemplo de la globalización.
It’s a clear example of globalization.

The meaning light refers to colors.

Siempre viste colores claros.
She always wears light colors.
verde claro
light or pale green
azul claro
light blue, pale blue

Using claro and the words gris and marrón, how would you say pale gray and pale brown?
ANSWERS: gris claro, marrón claro.
