agradable, adjective
pleasant, nice

From agradar, to like, comes agradable, pleasant or nice. It’s not quite as all-purpose as English nice, but you can use it of anybody or anything that pleases you, that you find pleasant:

El parque es muy agradable.
The park is very pleasant or very nice.
Nos llevamos una agradable sorpresa.
We had a nice surprise.
Es una persona muy agradable con una gran educación.
She’s a very nice, well-educated person.

You often use poco or nada before agradable to show that something isn’t very pleasant, or is unpleasant:

Le espera una tarea nada agradable.
An unpleasant task lies ahead of him.
