caber, verb
to fit

If you need to say whether something or somebody fits into a space, caber is the verb you need.

No cabe en mi armario.
It won’t fit in my closet.
En mi coche caben dos petacas más.
There’s room for two more cases in my automobile.
No cabe nadie más.
There’s no room for anybody else.

Remember that caber is rather irregular. The preterite is cupe, etc, and the present subjunctive is quepa etc. Caber is often used in the phrase no caber la menor duda:

De eso no cabe la menor duda.
There’s absolutely no doubt about that.

Notice this use of it:

¡No le quepa la menor duda.
Make no mistake about it .
