caer, verb
to fall

Caer is similar to fall in many of its meanings.

Me hice daño al caer.
I hurt myself when I fell.
Caerá la temperatura por debajo de los veinte grados.
The temperature will fall below twenty degrees.

You use caerse in the reflexive when you fall over accidentally:

Se cayó y se torció el tobillo.
She fell over and twisted her ankle.
