razón, noun
to be right

If you want to agree with someone and say that they are right, you use the phrase tener razón.

Me parece que tienes razón.
I think you're right.

Of course, you can also use it to talk about other people being right:

Ofelia tiene toda la razón.
Ofelia is absolutely right.

If you want to emphasize just how right someone is, you use an adjective with razón. In the previous and next example it is toda:

Tienes toda la razón.
You're absolutely right.

And you can also use mucha:

El presidente tiene mucha razón.
The President is quite right.

And to say somebody is wrong, you use tener razón in the negative:

Quevedo no tenía razón.
Quevedo was wrong.
