The plates and the cups are below.

Abajo is used a lot, and appears in several useful phrases with the meaning of down. For instance, calle abajo down the street:

corriendo calle abajo
running down the street

And cuesta abajo, downhill

Aquí todo va cuesta abajo.
Everything’s going downhill here.

You also often use it in the phrases aquí abajo/allí abajo, down here/down there:

Está ahí abajo esperando.
He’s down here waiting.
allí abajo en Cádiz
down there in Cadiz
