Yesterday's Word - Previous Words - Help

todavía, adverb
still; yet

Todavía is a crucial word for talking about whether things have happened or not, and covers the meanings of both still and yet. Notice how it goes before the verb.

¿Todavía estás en la cama?
Are you still in bed?
¡Y todavía se queja!
And yet he still complains!
Todavía no han llegado.
They haven’t arrived yet.

You often use todavía in the phrase todavía no, not yet.

¿Estás listo? - Todavía no.
Are you ready? - Not yet.
