sangría, noun
sangria

Sangría (watch out for the accent in Spanish) is a refreshing cold drink made using wine and fruit juice. It gets its name from its dark-red color - sangre means blood in Spanish.
If you’d like to rustle up a jug yourself, this is all you need to do.
Wash and slice a few pieces of fruit (an apple, an orange, a lemon and maybe a peach or a pear). Pour one liter of red or rosé wine into a jug; add the fruit, the juice of two oranges, half a dozen ice cubes and sugar to taste. Mix well and leave to chill for about five hours. ¡Salud! (Cheers!)
