It seems that it was the Spaniards who eventually brought spinach to the United States. Love it or hate it, the word for spinach is always used in the plural in Spanish, so be careful to use the correct form of the verb or the adjective with it. No me gustan las espinacas. I don’t like spinach. ¡Qué espinacas tan ricas! This spinach is delicious!
