beard
Beards come and go fashionwise, and are less worn nowadays than in the past. However, portraits of people from Spain’s Golden Age show lots of famous men, such as Cervantes, with a beard, una barba.
To say to wear a beard, you use the phrase llevar barba. In other words, you use the same word, llevar, as you do for wearing clothes.
